Inter Part 1 Result Announced 53.34 percent Students Failed

The Board of Intermediate and secondary education Lahore has declared the result of intermediate annual examination 2011 (Part I and Part II). Only 69903 are declared as pass from the total 149805 candidates and the percentage of the result was 46.66%. Prize distribution ceremony was held yesterday and provincial education minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman was the chief guest. Chairman Board of intermediate and secondary education Professor Dr. Akram Kashmiri, Secretary Board Mushtaq Tahir, controller examination Ejaz Naqvi, previous controller examination Prof. Manzoor ul Hassan Niazi and the spokesman of board Mr, Qaisar Virk were also present at the prize distribution ceremony.

Education minister Mr. Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman announced that the brilliant students will be facilitated to study in ten different international universities and those students who are not able to bear the burden of the expanses of their education, endowment fund will cover all their education expenses. He said that with the mutual cooperation of turkey, Turkey University in Pakistan will be established soon whereas the fund for Punjab Education Foundation has been increased from 7.5 Billion rupees to 10 Billion rupees. He also notified that literacy rate in 2008 was 59% and it is raised to 64% due to the governmental actions. He also said that probably in 2015, Punjab Government will achieve the task of 100% literacy rate. He also distributed medals to the position holders and their teachers and assured them about their studies in international universities. He distributed the prize money of 30 thousand and a computer to the first position holder, 15 thousand to the second position holder and 10 thousand to the third position holder.

There are 9 colleges with zero result. The names of the colleges are Govt. Degree College for Women, narang mandi Sheikhupura, Learners College for Women, G.T. Road Shahdra, Fauji Foundation Higher secondary School for Boys Sangla Hill, Pakistan Adventists Higher Secondary School Boys Farooq Abad, Institute of Public health, Chughtai Road Lahore, Ace Boys College, Model Town Extension Lahore, Rana Model College for Boys Gulberg III Lahore and Haleem Institute Higher Secondary School Gulberg III.
